The City of Orlando is working toward a local food system that encompasses the entire cycle of food production and consumption, including growing, transporting and the use of disposal. With the goal of focusing on our commitment to increased food production, many community gardens and farmers markets are springing up in Central Florida.
Parramore Farmers Market began on Jan. 6, 2018, and will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the East side of the Orlando City Stadium, at 655 W. Church St., Orlando, FL 32805, across from City View.
Purchase quality, fresh and healthy food grown in your own neighborhood by local farmers, including Fleet Farming, Growing Orlando, and various other community growers.
The market will feature:
- More than 30 local vendors
- The sale of Black Bee Honey – a startup run by Parramore Kidz Zone mentoring program youth
- A Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) booth where patrons may use their EBT cardsto receive tokens to spend in the market
