Quick reminder for those of you who are interested in learning about the Basics of Vegetable Gardening in Central Florida: as part of the UF/IFAS Extension Orange County-Garden Florida programs, there will be a course on the Basics of Vegetable Gardening in Central Florida, offered at two different times:
- Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Jessie Brock Community Center, 310 Dillard St., Winter Garden, FL 34787, from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm EST
- Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 6021 S. Conway Rd., Orlando, FL 32812, from 9:00 am-10:30 am EST
Learn to grow “warm season” vegetables including soil preparation, adjusting soil pH, fertilizing, irrigation, pests and diseases. Gardens may be grown year-round in Florida, but spring is the preferred season by most homeowners.
Free. Pre-Registration is required.
