There Was No Shooting At Windermere High School Today

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

Today (Thursday, Sep. 21, 2017) Windermere High School was under a code red locked down until 3:45 pm this afternoon because more than one students had received a text message that said a shooting had occurred on Windermere High School campus. During the lockdown, no one is allowed on or off campus, according to Windermere High School school official. Orange County deputies were called to the school at noon and swept campus as a precaution. The school and law enforcement said there had not been any shooting at Windermere High School and all students, teachers, and staff are safe. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said there was no gun found at the school campus. Deputies said that they have detained two students for questioning.
Parents were all notified through a recorded phone message. The school has cancelled all evening events and practice.
