Remember the post we had on Florida Climate Summit at Orlando in August, 2017 ? That event had brought me to the East End Market of Orlando (3201 Corrine Dr., Orlando, FL 32803, 321-236-3316 ), a quaint and rustic market reminding me much of the campus Strawberry Field store back when I was a student in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It is rustically unpretentious, clean and vibrant, somewhere between Whole Food and a mom and pop grocery store. There are different sections within the store, each distinctly marked by its own category: from bread, cheese, craft beer and wine, coffee shop, recipe books, to classic chocolates, plants, soup and sandwich corner and juice and smoothie bar, etc. Near the entrance of the market, one sees four orange Orlando City Bikes parked for shoppers’ convenience. Few steps out of the market, one sees a thriving vegetable garden and quite a few young and healthy looking people sipping, laughing, and talking away under the coverage of umbrellas by multiple table-chairs set ups. Check it out! It may become one of your regular places to shop.
