Perhaps this summer heat is getting to every one.
After President Trump warned North Korea to stop threatening the U.S. “they will be met with fire, fury, and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before….,” North Korea retaliated by issuing the statement that North Korea is carefully examining plans to attack the U.S. territory of Guam, with medium to long range intercontinental ballistic missiles. The escalating war of words had immediate impact on Wall Street and world financial markets.
Currently there are 6,000 American troops and more than 160,000 Guam residents (U.S. citizens) on the Pacific island of Guam, where U.S. operates a critical air force base in the region. Many are calling for diplomacy. Report from foreign correspondent Andrea Mitchell, below:
