As Senator McCain commented in an interview with regard to Jared Kushner‘s communication with the Russian officials in 2016, before the election, “I don’t like it. …I don’t think it’s standard procedure prior to inauguration of the president of United States by some one who is not in the appointed position….”
Florida Congressman Ted Deutch (Foreign Affairs Committee, Judiciary Committee, Ethics Committee) comments that it is important to have thorough investigation of the situation of Kushner’s attempt in setting up a back channel with the Russian using Russian facility even before the inauguration, especially given the fact that it was already known that Russia had been attempting to influence the outcome of the election. Many critics feel that Kushner’s security clearance should at least be suspended. It is also important to keep in mind to “follow the money”.
