What can I say, last night’s Oscars Award evening was truly the most memorable Oscars event I’ve ever seen…EVER
Jimmy Kimmel, host of the event, has given us one surprise after another:
Jimmy Kimmel surprised Hollywood tourists, below:
Jimmy Kimmel surprised all of the attending stars with candies and cookies from above:
Jimmy Kimmel surprised us all (Oscars attendants as well as those of us who were watching) with 2 outcomes, below:
Being a gracious host, Jimmy Kimmel placed the blame of the error on himself. But in reality, the error was due to mishandling of envelopes by PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Brian Cullinan. No harm done. Every one involved behaved beautifully. How civilized!!! No one was demanding recount. Artists are definitely a different breed from politicians and I do believe our world will be a better place with more of these artists around. I also liked/relish the segment remembering all the artists/actors/actresses (and their works) who have passed away during this past year. It humanized all the stars and Oscars a great deal, with the feud between Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon, joy in the faces of celebrities catching candy/cookies balloons, welcoming the Hollywood tourists amongst the stars, and the finale of double Best Picture winners….to error is human, after all….This is definitely the first in the history of Oscars/Hollywood ! Well played, Kimmel! Perhaps this is all predetermined?! Take a look this preview before the Oscars event, below:

I am a mother/wife/daughter, math professor, solar advocate, world traveler, yogi, artist, photographer, sharer of knowledge/information, and resident of Windermere, FL. I've worked professionally in applied math, engineering, medical research, and as a university math professor in IL and FL for about 20 years. My husband and I loved Disney and moved down to Central Florida initially as snowbirds. But we've come to love the warmth and friendly people offered by this community and decided to move down to Windermere, FL full time in 2006. I am now spending time sharing information/ knowledge online, promoting understanding of math and solar energy (via http://www.sunisthefuture.net ), and developing Windermere Sun (http://www.WindermereSun.com) as an online publication, sharing and promoting Community ABC's (Activities-Businesses-Collaborations) for healthier/happier/more sustainable living. In the following posts, I'll be sharing with you some of the reasons why Windermere has attracted us to become full-time residents of Central Florida region.
