Upcoming The Women’s March at Washington and 673 Local Areas on Jan. 21, 2017

Do you all know that there is going to be The Women’s March on Washington on January 21, 2017 (the day after inauguration), begins on 10:00 a.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m. ?There will be a program of speakers, featuring nationally recognized advocates, artists, entertainers, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and other performers on the stage between 3rd and 4th on Independence facing NW, near the U.S. Capitol.The march will begin at 1:15 p.m. This is a grassroots effort comprised of dozens of independent coordinators at the state level. The effort is helmed by four national co-chairs and a national coordinating committee. The Women’s March is NOT a ticketed event and no ticket is required.
The starting point will be the intersection of Independence Avenue and Third Street SW, near the U.S. Capitol.The entry points to the march are located at: 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 12th streets on both sides of Independence Ave. the Women’s March on Washington (WMW) is for any one who believes women’s rights are human rights, regardless of gender or gender identity, ethnicity, or background. There will be gender neutral portable bathroom facilities available at different points around the march and rally site. There will also be ADA accessible portable bathroom facilities.

These people are hoping to demonstrate that they are standing in solidarity in support of equality of human rights for all groups, regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnicity, or background.
