Need I say more? It’s always a pleasure for me to stop by the booth for Hidden Cypress Hollow on Fridays at the Windermere Farmer’s Market, run by Julie Fisher. Julie’s tent/booth is always full of cute and esoteric planters, from beaded bike to toy truck. The latest addition to the display are these mossy teacup and high heeled stilatto, definitely with a flare of its own. Apparently Julie runs Hidden Cypress Hollow as a nursery and environmental center, with summer camps. Hidden Cypress Hollow offers environmental adventure, nature and mud walks, outdoor survival skill classes, camping and bonfires, Dutch oven cooking, Florida history and local Indian lore, wildlife tracking and spotting, native and invasive plant education, and photography workshops besides canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming. There is also a small specialty plant nursery and a kids Eco-Adventure Camp. After school classes are scheduled for the near future. An interesting tidbit: Julie’s 16 acres of Hidden Cypress Hollow has a 2100 year old Grand Bald Cypress tree on the property and full of flare of the old Florida. If you are interested in visiting this magical place in Central Florida along the little Wekiva River, here is the Contact information for Hidden Cypress Hollow Nursery: Julie Fisher, Hidden Cypress Hollow Facebook page, 407-463-8929
