Do you some times feel as though everything is spinning at a faster pace? This is especially true in the service industry. It wasn’t too long ago when I first got the news about Amazon being able to deliver within 2 days for areas with fulfillment (or distribution ) centers, under Amazon Prime membership. I was amazed and rejoiced! You can imagine how STUNNED I was upon finding out that Amazon now can deliver within 2 hours under the Amazon Prime membership, under the Amazon Prime Now program!

To usher in this new Amazon Prime Now program, Amazon Prime members can have their items delivered within/around 2 hours for free until Christmas eve this year (they also have the option to select one-hour delivery for an additional $8 charge.) What a wonderful reprieve for holiday gift procrastinators! Amazon Prime Now is available in 28 metro areas across the U.S. There are over 100 fulfillment centers worldwide.

Since my hubby just ran out of his Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, we’ve decided to take advantage of this free service (until Christmas of 2016) to test out this new program at Amazon. We’ve placed the order at 7:51 pm and were given the estimated time of arrival to be between 10:00 pm to midnight. Amazon’s suggested tip for the Amazon Flex couriers was $6. But you are most certainly free to jack up that amount to demonstrate your extreme sense of appreciation during this holiday season. The actual time of arrival was 11:20 pm, within the estimated time frame.

Upon further investigation, I am amazed at such well orchestrated symphony of robots and Amazon associates, fine tuned to deliver the packages so quickly to customers’ doorsteps. Let’s have a peek inside a fulfillment center at Lakeland, FL , below:
