Did you know that the best time for planting trees in Florida is in January? Did you know that cities/towns where there are more trees planted tend to have much lower crime rates?
Just a quick response to those of you who called to inquire or confirm the date of our next (13th) Windermere Treebute and Florida Arbor Day celebration date, in 2017. It will be on January 21, 2017 (always on the 3rd Saturday of January), 520 Main Street, Windermere Town Square, FL. I know many of you simply cannot wait til we get there. For those of you who are new to Central Florida, please feel free to check out our post in January of 2016 on the subject of Windermere Treebute.or simply view our video below for a refresher:
There will be: native, flowering & fruit trees, “Ask the Arborist” booth, food-arts-music, nature education, plant sales, prize drawing and silent auction, bounce house, and the “Geezers in the Treezers” Tree Climbing Competition at our beloved Windermere Treebute. All proceeds will benefit Windermere Tree Board Arbor Tree Fund.
