Did you know that even though about 92% of the watermelon is occupied by water, this refreshing fruit is soaked with nutrients. This may not be the normally expected seasonal topic, but the watermelon in my dream last night was so vividly juicy that I could not help but writing about it today.
Each bite of it would provide me/you with significant level of vitamin A, B6, C, and lots of lycopene, antioxidants, amino acids, and even a modest amount of potassium. The refreshing quality and sweet taste help to combat the heat and also provide a guilt-free, low maintenance dessert for kids and adults alike. Furthermore, many studies have suggested that increased watermelon consumption may decrease the risk of: obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, dehydration, inflammation, and muscle soreness while increase the chance of improved skin and hair quality. No wonder Watermelon has become synonymous with summer and picnics. Now, besides simply eating it directly, let’s take a look at some interesting ways in taking advantage of this amazingly delicious fruit, below:
