Sweet Bea and The Boys at Orlando International Airport
Dear Friends & Neighbors,

Music is the best medicine for the soul of any weary traveler….and Orlando International Airport executives understood this quite well….
Dropping off our daughter at the Orlando International Airport around 10:30 am this morning drew my attention to the sultry voice of Sweet Bea (Beatrice Roberts) and The Boys (Darron Dubar & Dante Dunbar). Their music filled the air space of terminal with ease and touch of gentle warmth. For a momentary pause, the waiting lines seem just a bit shorter and atmosphere friendlier.
Ms. Roberts (Singer Sweet Bea) comes from a very musical family where every one is endowed with the gift of playing multiple musical instruments, from brass to string to percussion instruments, and voice. She is especially inspired by her mother’s singing and Motown Era music (James Brown, Freddie Mercury, Pat Benatar, Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Sarah Vaughan and Judy Garland.) After completing her Associate Degree in music performance at Valencia College in Orlando, Ms. Roberts was accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts Musical Theater Conservatory Program at the University of Central Florida. With a passion and skill for writing, Beatrice began her professional career writing and recording commercial jingles for several independent businesses located in Central Florida. She has also acted in local commercials, plays, musicals and contributed her voice to promotional videos broadcast throughout the South East.
In 2012, Beatrice found her way into the Orlando live music scene, performing as a background singer for several different cover and corporate bands. Since 2013, Beatrice has provided lead vocals for her own band, Sweet Bea and The Boys, showcasing her ability to authentically sing diverse styles of music with a live band. Currently active in the Florida music scene, Beatrice has performed at venues such as B.B. King’s Blues Club, the House of Blues, Tin Roof Orlando, and Blue Martini, to name a few, as well as a number of festivals, weddings and corporate events. She is also a regular singer/performer at the all new Mango’s Tropical Cafe located on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. Excited to debut her own original music, Beatrice is currently writing & recording for her much anticipated EP set to be released in 2016.
Sweet Bea and The Boys will also be performing at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL on July 30, 2016
We look forward to great performances from Sweet Bea and The Boys!
