Let’s Keep Our Lakes Clean

One evening last week, when I was taking an evening stroll by the dock with hubby, we came across some trash of bread crumbs, plastic bottles, and plastic bags left behind

by previous visitors to the dock. This is the first time in nine years that I’ve ever noticed any littering on the dock and I hope this will also be the last time….for what seemingly innocent items left behind may be blown onto the lake

and eventually travel afar and cause the death of more marine life. So, dear neighbors, for those of you who have enjoyed our beautiful dock, lake, and sunsets as much as I have, 
please let’s be sure that we all try to take care of our lake and prevent any plastic residuals to be found on the dock. So these plastic items or trash will not be blown onto the lake…for we would all like to keep our beautiful lakes in Central Florida region to be pristine for as long as possible.
I would also like to take the opportunity to suggest to our HOA to add a trash bin onto the dock to help decrease the chance of trash being left on the dock or be blown onto the lake.
