As part of the spirit of what Windermere Sun is trying to promote in Central Florida area, this post is devoted to the concept of reuse with style. Historically women’s fashion generates tremendous amount of creativity, diversity, and change. I’d like to help our local residents to develop ways and means to enjoy great fashion sense while being able to watch their budgets and avoid taking up too much landfill space that would translate into greater CO2 emission.  During my research of all consignment shops in this area, Pretty Women Consignment at the corner of Hiawassee and Old Winter Garden Road (Oakhill Village Shopping Plaza, at 6616 Winter Garden Road, Orlando, FL 32835, (407)447-1023, really stood out for multiple reasons:  It was intended to serve women of plus sizes (although many of its beautiful clothing and accessories may appeal to women of all sizes). It was founded by three ladies from the corporate world with much fashion sense. It is a place where many ladies feel quite at home and would like to keep this place to themselves. Let’s take a look at what the co-founder/owner Barbara Teetler has to share with us about the Pretty Women Consignment shop, below:

Pretty Women Consignment, the only shop specializes in upscale plus size clothing in Central Florida and also has great variety of beautiful and fashionable accessories. Three ladies from the corporate world started this store about 13-14 years ago and have been able to help so many women to feel beautiful and special.

Consignment policy: each consigner may bring in 15 items (freshly laundered & pressed, on hangers) per 30 days and may leave items (consignment period) for 90 days. Final proceed will be split 50-50 between consigner and the shop. At the end of the 90 day consignment period, if the item is not yet sold, the consigner may either take back the item or leave it on the “For Sale” rack for 50% off. So, next time you plus size ladies who want to try something new and different, but would like to be able to watch your budget while also being environmentally friendly (help to slow down the warming of the climate), think about Pretty Women Consignment shop.
