Finally, on September 24, 2015, near 5505 Winter Garden Vineland Rd., Windermere, FL 34786, a beautiful and hot sunny Thursday,
starting at 4:00 pm (EDT) sharp, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the West Orange Relief High School (of Orange County of Florida) begins.

It’s been 14 years since a new high school has opened in West Orange County. This is a much needed high school to relieve the overcrowding of the West Orange County High School. It is truly the product of patience and collaborative effort on the part of the people in one of the fastest growing communities in the country. Let’s take a look at this ceremony, below:

This is a story of determination and cooperation by parents who are concerned for the future

of their children. In the end, the county government has come to agree to the needs of this community. According to Lauren Roth of OCPS (Orange County Public school) Communication and Public Relations, the name of this new high school and new principal are not yet decided. People in the community will be able to take part in the decision making process of naming the new school in 2017. So, stay tuned for future development.
