At another corner of the Chinatown of Orlando, I’ve discovered an interesting concept, Tai Shen Book Bar (5078 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32808, 407-808-5178), ready to open on September 1, 2015. This Book Bar will have much that will appeal to the pleasures of the mind and senses:

- Chinese books and magazines for sale

- Piano lessons with Ms. Yun Liu (407-748-5048) at very reasonable rate. She would even come to you if time and rate may be agreed by both parties
- Used piano for sale
- Chinese paintings & prints for sale
- Original prints (with certificates of authenticity)
- New & used computers and cell phones for sale
- Repair for computers and cell phones
- Installation of stereo system
- and much much more…..
The manager at Tai Shen Book Bar, Kirk, assured me that they will also be serving a great variety of milk teas and bubble teas once the book bar opens on Sep. 1, 2015.
I’ve noticed that some of the parents who regularly shop at the nearby 1st Oriental Supermarket at Chinatown would drop their children off for an hour or 30 minutes of piano lesson with Ms. Yun Liu. Some of the retired seniors who have always wanted to learn to play piano but never had the time until after retirement…now is the opportunity! What a great way to make good use of the time and sharpen one’s mind by learning to play an instrument or to speak a new language!
If you are interested in learning about Chinese culture or Chinese language, perhaps you’d consider stopping in at this book bar to find a book, painting, some milk tea, music lessons, or converse with some one who speaks Chinese/Mandarin at this book bar. If you have any more questions about what this book bar may offer, please feel free to contact the manager Kirk via 407-808-5178 or email: kirkwolfman@gmail.com .
