Just a quick note to remind you all Recyclers residing in Orange County of Florida: Orange County Utilities is offering residents the chance to safely dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste free of charge on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Free of Charge! Many household products contain dangerous chemicals that require special handling. Incorrectly disposed of, these chemicals can be harmful to humans, animals, and the environment. To insure the correct handling of these items, Orange County Utilities holds 4 HHW community collection events annually and provides 2 permanent HHW collection facilities for the proper disposal of HHW and recycling of electronic waste. Please note the location and time for the collection event and permanent collections above.

YARD WASTE COLLECTION
Please also keep in mind that the yard waste collection is provided every Wednesday. Be sure to place your yard waste at the curb after 6:00 pm the night before or no later than 6:00 am on Wednesday. Be sure o use waterproof containers with tight-fitting lids and handles on the sides or bags for yard waste. Each bag or container should weigh less than 60 pounds when full. Residents may set out up to 3 cubic yards per household (about the size of one small pickup truck load) each week.
Limbs and palm fronds should be handled with string or twine, be no longer than 3 feet in length and bundles should weigh less than 60 pounds each. The limbs and palm fronds may also be cut down and placed into containers or plastic bags weighing less than 60 pounds when full.

There will be no recycling collection on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. Recycling will be picked up on the next recycling collection day. There is also no bulky collection during a holiday week.
