As I’ve promised, this is also a post on what our wonderful Windermere Library may offer in the coming weeks. There are simply too many interesting activities that may be mentioned. To entice you to go into the library to pick up a copy of the August issue of OCLS (Orange County Library System) magazine, allow me to mention just five here:
1. Free Computer Classes: At Windermere Branch Library. Calendar above. From Create a Website Using WordPress, Create Basic Spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, to The Virtual Painter, Cretae 2D Video Game, Ebook, Excel, QuickBooks Pro, etc. Please call 407-835-7323 in advance to register.(Attention: A $5 late cancellation fee will be charged unless reservations are cancelled by 11:59 pm the day before the class is scheduled.)

2. Jiggleman: At Windermere Branch Library. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. For ages 6-12, get ready to laugh out loud and be amazed by the jumping, joking, juggling, Jiggleman! Please call 407-835-7323 in advance to register.
3. Paws to Read: At Windermere Branch Library. Saturday, August 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m. Practice your reading skills by reading aloud to a lovable, furry listener. Be an Angel Therapy Dogs presents this reading program for children with certified therapy dogs. Please call 407-835-7323 in advance for details.

4. Book Bingo: At Windermere Branch Library. Saturday, August 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m. For ages 6-12. Celebrate back-to-school by playing BINGO! You could win a book to take home. Please call 407-835-7323 in advance for details.

5. Caring For Your Pet: At Windermere Branch Library. Saturday, August 23, 2014, 11:00 a.m. Volunteer Humane Educator Cathy Houde for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando shares practical tips and information on how to best care for your pets. Learn about general animal care including the Five Freedom that every animal deserves.
