As President Trump continues to give misleading information – or lie – about the federal government’s measures to fight coronavirus, mayors, governors and local officials are trying to prepare on their own. Several states ordered residents to stay at home for all but essential trips. Some officials are seeking hotels, dorms, or other spaces to repurpose as hospitals. And others are urging the public to 3-D print or sew protective equipment for healthcare workers, in the video “State, Local Officials Take Coronavirus Action Into Their Own Hands Amid Poor Federal Response“, below:

Let’s take a look at how our neighbor, Canada, is dealing with COVID-19: The federal government is calling on Canada’s manufacturing companies to join the fight against COVID-19 by ramping up production of vital supplies, like medical supplies. But as Mike Armstrong reports, things aren’t so rosy for a different industry. Meanwhile, the virus has led to the unemployment of thousands of Canadians, and the federal government is racing to mitigate the damage of what may be the worst economic downturn in the country’s history. David Akin reports on how much the federal government’s potential support package could be worth. The U.S. is ramping up its war against COVID-19 by closing its borders with Canada and Mexico to non-essential travel, while lockdowns are in effect in both California and New York. But what about a nationwide lockdown? And what would U.S. President Donald Trump say to Americans who are scared? Jackson Proskow has Trump’s reaction to both of those questions. The British government is also taking drastic measures to help citizens who can’t work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Redmond Shannon explains what’s being promised. Scores of Canadians working and living abroad are trying in vain to return home, but travel restrictions and bans over COVID-19 have them fearing they’ll be stranded indefinitely. Ross Lord has the calls for help from Canadians stuck in Peru. There’s a worldwide outpour of gratitude for health care workers, who are putting themselves at risk while treating a surge of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eric Sorensen explains how their difficult work is being honored, in the video “Global National: March 20, 2020, Canada surpasses 1,000 cases of COVID-19“, below:
Rachel Maddow reviews the empty promises and overpromises Donald Trump has made about the federal response to the coronavirus crisis and points out that his repeated lies and misinformation are not harmless when the stakes are as high as they are with this epidemic, and the media should consider not airing his press conferences live, in the video “Trump Irresponsible, Dangerous w/Lies & Happy Talk On Fed. Coronavirus Help Rachel Maddow, MSNBC“, below:

Dr. Esther Choo talks with Rachel Maddow about doctors, nurses, and other health care workers who are struggling to obtain the proper protective gear to administer care to the wave of new coronavirus patients, and the anticipation that continued federal poor planning will mean further shortages in the future, in the video published on March 21, 2020, “Health Care Workers On Their Own Against Coronavirus As Supplies Dwindle, Rachel Maddow, MSNBC“, below:
*Some one should come up with a more efficient design for mask-making machine so that each and every hospital or city may be equipped with at least one or two mask-making machine(s) to supply the need for each hospital or city.
So, let’s all try to stay home as much as possible! As for individual citizens, please wash your hands often (each time for at least 20 seconds, stop shaking hands, be sure to get sufficient rest, be well nourished, exercised, drink plenty of hot water and ginger tea, and decrease unnecessary social contacts.
