Our message on coronavirus so far has been, “don’t panic.” For the vast majority of individuals, coronavirus is not an existential threat. However, the rapid rate of the virus’s spread has the potential to overwhelm our health system and cause a LOT of problems. Therefore, Windermere Sun would like to share and clarify much discussions regarding “Flattening the curve” over the social media in the video “Flattening The Curve of Coronavirus Infections“, below:
It is important to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in order to prevent overwhelming the capacity of our healthcare system. So let’s apply social distancing and (canceling large gatherings and reduce non-essential social interactions) and wash our hands with soap and water often (for at least 20 seconds each time), avoid sick people, avoid crowds, eat nutritiously, be well rested, drink lots of clean water and ginger tea, exercise privately, remain calm and practice yoga and meditate.
Mitigating the spread of the coronavirus can help lessen the load hospitals will face, in the video “Flattenning the curve by mitigating the spread of coronavirus“, below:
When it comes to the coronavirus, flattening the curve means to use protective measures to slow the spread of the infection. This helps ensure that the healthcare system does not become overwhelmed by too many cases at once. Dan Fulton, MD of McFarland Clinic Infectious Diseases explains, in the video “Flattening the Curve – Why is it Important? McFarland Clinic“, below:
As for individual citizens, please wash your hands often, stop shaking hands, be sure to get sufficient rest, be well nourished, exercised, drink plenty of hot water and ginger tea, and decrease unnecessary social contacts.
*Drive-by testing is speedy, effective, and necessary in order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Paid leaves are also helpful in reducing the spread. Please contact your state legislators (Senators) to speak in support of these two measures.
