Dear Friends & Neighbors,

It’s always a pleasure to listen to our former President Barack Obama, to his words of clarity, hope, encouragement, and always with such eloquence. Below, is his full speech at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday, October 26, 2018, calling Americans to vote:
Obama reminds Americans that this upcoming election is critical, for something beyond political party is at stake for this election, “What is at stake is politics that is decent. and honest, and lawful….Try to do right by these people. It is worthy for the country we all love…..We need leaders who would actually stand up for what is right, regardless of the party….leaders who will fight for you and what is best for the American spirit….Patriots who will Stand up for any one whose fundamental rights are at stake: your healthcare, or your kids getting bullied at school because their last name is different, or a neighbor who is being harassed for whom they love….I am hopeful that out of this political gardens, reawakening of citizenship happening all over the country. I cannot tell you how encouraged I have been watching so many people getting involved for the first time in a long time, organizing, registering people to vote, running offices themselves, with record number of women running….” he continued, “The antidote to government by powerful few is government by the organized and energized of many. That’s what this moment is about….The biggest threat to our democracy is our own indifference. The biggest threat to our democracy is that we get so cynical that we just stay home.”
