Companies Are Severing Ties With NRA

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

(Please click on red links & note magenta)
Historically, NRA (National Rifle Association) memberships meant access to a broad range of discounts, from special discounts on auto insurance to cheaper flights when booked through its website. But since the school shooting on Feb. 14, 2018, students, parents, and activists have flooded social media with calls to end corporate partnerships with this powerful gun lobby organization. Starting on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, more than a dozen companies ended their sponsorship or partnerships with the NRA. NRA members still have access to free gun-owner insurance plan and options to save on travel costs, but the listings on the organization’s “Membership Benefits” page have dwindled. American students, parents, families, and activists are enforcing their impacts through their purse. American businesses and corporations are responding.
The list of companies severing relationship with NRA is growing, so far, these are on the list:
- The First National Bank of America: stopped issuing an NRA-branded Visa card as a result of customer feedback
