Since we’ve had quite a few tech-related posts this past week, perhaps it’s time to shift our gear and entertain among something basic and simple….bringing to mind a booth that I meandered through at Winter Garden Farmer’s Market few weeks ago.

I was drawn to a booth by the rhythm of the music radiated from a mother-and-son manned tent. The mother named Maruca had such an inviting  and vibrant smile that one could not help but looked through a table full of glass containers with earth medicine in its natural forms….vanilla, turmeric, cacao, cinnamon bark, saffron, black pepper….and much much more….Maruca had such youthful and positive energy that it is hard for one to believe that she is the mother of a tall bearded man Paul. Perhaps these earthly medicines and music truly hold the power of life force that we should all consider inviting into our lives.  I always believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So let’s consider using turmeric, saffron, cinnamon, or black pepper more often in our life or in our cooking (cooking does tend to decrease its nutrition value)….let’s try healing and preventative medicine by using or cooking with these earthly medicines. Maruca assured me that these natural ingredients/medicines can play a very important part of the healing process. My recent experience with magnesium deficiency (recent post) is making a believer out of me. So much of our wonderful natural world can help…we may even entertain the possibility of healing with musical sounds….do you realize that Taoists practice  6 healing sounds in Qigong (energy practice)?

At their table, there are also pamphlets on Harmony H2O, aka Crystal Harmony. Apparently Walt A. Justice is the man behind this specially processed water that helps to increase lymphatic cleanse, reduces chance of gout and arthritis, and much much more. According to Mr. Justice, this very special water works internally and externally. Keep in mind that Maruca and Paul attend Winter Garden Farmer’s Market (Saturdays), Edgewood Farmer’s Market at City Hall (Thursdays), and Lake Nona YMCA (Monday evenings).
