Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that chaos, obstacles, and pain may actually be great opportunities for learning. After having pulled some muscles few days ago, I’ve received a message from another friend who also did the same thing. This triggered my curiosity bug and started my search online. Please allow me to share with you something that may be useful for you too, below:
Did you know that 80% of the Americans have magnesium deficiency? Part of the contributing factors for such a high rate of magnesium deficiency among Americans is due to our depleted soil content of minerals, stress of life, and diet deficient in magnesium. Some warning signs of magnesium deficiency: headaches, muscle cramps, osteoporosis, osteopenia, weak bones or muscles, diabetes or imbalanced blood sugar, adrenal fatigue, low energy level, high blood pressure, insomnia, insomnia or depression, anxiety, heart palpitation, muscle pain, fibromyalgia, constipation and irregular bowel movements. Below, Dr. Josh Axe explains:
For a list of magnesium rich food, check out: www.draxe.com site . Another efficient way to get magnesium into one’s body is by taking baths with Epsom Salt.
2. Here is additional confirmation and explanation by Dr. Carolyn Dean on “How Magnesium Functions In The Body“. Be sure not to take calcium supplement alone. Below, we have Dr. Carolyn Dean:
3. Dr. Guosong Liu explains what magnesium does in the body and how it enhances overall brain health (in the link below). Dr. Liu also explains why most people are likely to be deficient in magnesium. If you depend on your diet for your magnesium, you’re likely getting much less than people did through diet 100 years ago. Dr. Liu also mentions that studies have indicated that number of synapses increase if grown in magnesium-rich culture. Dr. Liu and his research group have also found that the optimal way to upload magnesium into the brain is through combined effect of vitamin C with magnesium. Apparently, there is a definite correlation between age-related memory decline with deficiency in magnesium on a cellular level. So, to protect oneself from these problems, be sure you’re getting sufficient intake of magnesium in your diet and consider supplementing your diet with magnesium. At the request of the site, I am only able to share the link rather than embedding this video, below:
I am a mother/wife/daughter, math professor, solar advocate, world traveler, yogi, artist, photographer, sharer of knowledge/information, and resident of Windermere, FL. I've worked professionally in applied math, engineering, medical research, and as a university math professor in IL and FL for about 20 years. My husband and I loved Disney and moved down to Central Florida initially as snowbirds. But we've come to love the warmth and friendly people offered by this community and decided to move down to Windermere, FL full time in 2006. I am now spending time sharing information/ knowledge online, promoting understanding of math and solar energy (via http://www.sunisthefuture.net ), and developing Windermere Sun (http://www.WindermereSun.com) as an online publication, sharing and promoting Community ABC's (Activities-Businesses-Collaborations) for healthier/happier/more sustainable living. In the following posts, I'll be sharing with you some of the reasons why Windermere has attracted us to become full-time residents of Central Florida region. Please feel free to leave your comments via email at "Contact Us" in the topbar above or via info.WindermereSun@gmail.com.
